Malcolm Just Walked!!

I just witnessed his first three "for sure" steps. I was so shocked by it, I didn't realize what had happened until after it was over. I just sat there with my hand to my chest, feeling that great chasm of change that had just opened between us. Whoa!

Here's the funny part of it: I think his cousins inspired him;) For a while now, I've been suspecting that he has the skills to walk, just without the impetus. I figured that once he's around other small children to try to imitate, he'd start walking fairly quickly. Similar to our last trip to Nebraska, when a few days around his cousins spurred him to move more quickly and ardently all of a sudden. Well, today, I sat down with Malcolm to show him the newest photos of Court and Luca, to which he smiled and laughed at each one. Then, after the last photo, he just stepped away from the wall and took three steps into his future.*

He has not repeated it yet for video recording purposes, but I'll keep working on that.
