Chris found a bag of stuffed animals on the side of the road one day, so of course, he brought it home, washed them all, and posted them on eBay. All except for one teddy bear in particular that he liked and saved for Malcolm. Malcolm loves him, literally. This morning I caught him sitting on its lap, hugging it, and laughing with it. Sometimes I like to put the teddy bear in his coveralls like he's "wearing" him, the way daddy straps Malcolm to himself when they go picking' together:
When Malcolm was teeny tiny, a 12-year old girl, Annaliese, introduced herself to us to tell us she had just finished a First Aid course on Babysitting and CPR, and would love to babysit if we needed her. The next day, we found Annaliese's resume and business card in our mailbox. This summer, she babysat Malcolm a lot and did a wonderful job. She would take Malcolm to her house sometimes, to hang out with her brother and little sister, Noelle. Noelle and Malcolm became very friendly from this, and when we ran into her on election night last month, she couldn't help but show off her strength for me by picking Malcolm up. He really liked it and kept putting his arms up to do it again:

I love that picture of our boy after his bath.
