Chris got us organized and out to the Pumpkin Patch this Sunday, and it was wonderful. Pfiefer's Orchard is only a mile or so north of town, and I usually get apples there in the fall, but we'd never gone into the fields before. We enjoyed the beautiful day with warm apple cider, fields of pumpkins, and chasing the ducks. We even strolled as far down the farm lane as we could, through the apple orchards, over the creeks, past the sheep, all the way to the hidden weeping willow at the end of the lane. It was a really wonderful fall afternoon. You can see below that Malcolm even found some pumpkins that were just his size:)
That was such a good day. It was the last day of Indian Summer.
