July

Oh my goodness she's so cute.

Fireworks night, we always camp out with the Hudsons at our nearby park. Malcolm loved the fireworks, except thought they were way too loud, and asked for some of those "headphones that people wear while mowing the lawn for next year."

Baby's first fireworks. She spent the whole show entranced with the little glow stick tied to my jacket.

Again, so friggin' cute.

I came down one day to find her planking under the piano, then she continued to army crawl toward me, which I'll count as her first time crawling since it took her a couple months to figure out how to get up on her knees.

Making lemon cupcakes for his birthday.

For Malcolm's birthday this year, we invited his friends to meet us at the park for a treasure hunt!

First they discovered a secret treasure map...

then they had to search the whole park for clue after clue...

until they dug up all kinds of gems and gold doubloons in the sand. It was a lot of fun and his friends still like to talk about it when we meet them in the sand box.

He got a lot of wonderful little doll house pieces from Sharri.

What I discovered under the side table one afternoon.

We took Malcolm to the Barn Storming Festival this year. These little planes were awfully cute.

Tiny fingers.

Tiny toes.

Malcolms main playground pals this summer. Eden and Talulah were at the playground practically every day, so they all had a lot of time together.

Grandma Dorothy came to visit!

Pulling herself up to standing.

Smily girl.

Grandma Cindy came to visit too!

And she took us to a concert,

at a beautiful winery.

Gotta haul them rocks!

Breakfast on the porch of the new hotel downtown:)
