Wow. I have been terribly remiss about posting photos on this blog!! I finally got some time to sort through a bunch of old ones, so here's my attempt at a year in review.
2017 was a lovely year for us. Malcolm started Kindergarten, and is doing wonderfully! Ada is walking and talking and turning into a little girl. One of our big highlights of the year was a week on Kelley's Island. And we had a terrific Christmas break as well. The rest of the the year, we worked hard and grew together and are enjoying our days as much as we can. So, here goes...
Ada's first time playing in the snow.
Malcolm and Daddy building a little school bus together.
We took a mid-winter excursion down to Cincinnati to go to the Krohn Conservatory. It was wonderful to be in the warm and sunny humidity in the middle of the cold months!
Grandma Dorothy came to visit.
It's always wonderful when we can get back into the sandbox each Spring!
One of Malcolm's first soccer practice's.
Easter!
We went to visit Grandma Cindy for the birthday in May.
And Malcolm got to see all his cousins!
And babies Eddi and Ada got to meet too!
With Uncle Joe,
and Uncle Hobbes:)
We got to see our wonderful friends Beth and Blew!! It had been years.
At the Children's Museum.
And...summer!!
I found Bunny on the couch doing some lite reading one afternoon:)
At the 4th of July parade.
Back to Kelley's Island for another Beach Week!
Malcolm made a great beach friend, Henry.
We drove south in August to catch the Eclipse. We stopped over in Louisville for a night.
This photo was taken a moment after the Eclipse passed. It was amazing!!
And exhausting!
And...Malcolm starts Kindergarten!!!
He is in Ms. Turner-Smith's class, and is doing really well. His class is great and he enjoys going and is learning very quickly!
And still loves coming home to his bunny each afternoon!
We took a day trip one Sunday to Metamora, Indiana, and rode on a real train.
Playing chess in the woods.
Ada puts together some wonderful ensembles now that she gets to pick out her own pajamas.
Malcolm participated in his first tractor pull at the Black Walnut Festival this fall.
Halloween was a blast:)
We started a new family hobby of bowling this November.
Hittin' the antique mall together.
Ada turned 2!!
The Illinois Colligan-Tills came out for Thanksgiving and we had a lovely time together.
And...winter arrives again.
Malcolm bought his own roll of wrapping paper at the thrift store and practiced his wrapping skills by wrapping all kinds of "presents" for us all (i.e.-toys and art supplies he was finished with). Can you tell what this gift he wrapped for Ada is?
Christmas was truly wonderful this year. We spent hours opening and playing with all our presents.
And Santa brought exactly what Malcolm asked for, bathrobes for Malcolm and Ada.
And lots more snow to finish the year with, and what a wonderful year it has been.
